Half-term report - happy or not?

I'll be happy if we stay up - don't waste money unecessarily in January - concentrate on winning teh home games then strenghthen over the close season another season in this division then go for it teh year after. Not sure Gus us the man to do it but time will tell and all good so far.

I would have voted 'Confused' if that was an option.

I'm ecstatic about the Amex/Bloom and players like CMS joining...but on the pitch since Palace equalized I haven't been enjoying it that much if I'm honest.

I'm happy - its a difficult division and I think we are doing just fine - our team is work in progress and we don't want to get promoted yet - we are not ready for the premiership, doubt we could really afford to be there - and if we went up we'd come end up coming back down - id rather stay where we are around the middle and then creep up when we are confident away and at home x

Overall happy - it could be much much worse.

I really hope we can sort this discipline thing out though - over 50 yellow cards now and players missing due to bans.

Pretty happy. We are short of a few players though, that is obvious. Mid-table for a transition season, bang on for promotion charge next season.

The positions good, that cannot be argued but I am nervous about where we go from here, the performances havnt been great for a long time now, we look defensively frail and don't put away the few chances we do create. Poyet needs to spent wisely in January. They might not be pretty players but we need to strengthen up the midfield, players like sparrow are just too lightweight, someone like crofts will go a long way. Need new fullbacks on both sides and second quality striker upfront.

I can still see us sliding into trouble unless the correct purchases are made.

There's along way to go yet, and its a very competative division so a small bad run is dangerous. We need to be nicking a few points off the good teams as wel as the also-rans.

Table is kind of irrelevant right now unless we're murdering it or have been cut adrift. But I'd take this position at end of season for. Very worried by our inability to create pretty well anything from MF and hope we see a couple of decent buys in next week or so. I'm convinced if we can get that central MF role sorted then we could go on a decent run, get a bit of buzz back and start producing some consistent form

I don't think I would have. Looking at how we played last season, looking at the signings, I probably would have turned down 11th and taken our chances.

My reticence to vote is more to do with performances than results or league position. I feel we haven't played as well as we can frequently enough, even after taking into consideration the higher quality opposition (both in the footballing ability and their intelligence - i.e. I don't think it has anything to do with being 'found out').
