Is this going to be the catalyst?

I hope not, but it is a bit odd what he's said

No.

I think Fergie's 'a little bit silly' comment will actually have helped no end.

If Fergie had gone off on one, then Poyet may have responded, and the Club might have got involved.

As it is, hopefully Poyet now keeps his mouth shut.

I guess we'll find out at 4.55 tomorrow. Perhaps he should send Charlie to do the post-match interview.

I think our fans will be amazing at Southampton!
He was a bit naive with his comments when he got wound up by Ronny Irani (who wouldnt) but it'll make for an even better atmosphere tomoz

Sorry if this has been covered but is there any link to Fergies response?

Agreed. I must admit under the circumstances I think Fergie's reply is top drawer and, as you say, has hopefully gone a long way to diffusing the situation.

My concern is that if he carries on in the same vein and stirs up further controversy the decision may be taken out of his own hands. Fair play to Alex Ferguson for playing it down.

well it would be approproate of the club to sack him so he can go "home" and preach his racist views in his own country (where you appearently can call people negroes).

I don't even know where to begin on this comment. The awful spelling/grammar, the fact you've called him racist when he's said nothing of the sort or the total misunderstanding of the word that Suarez has allegedly used. How long till these bloody plastic United fans bugger off? At least Palace fans have some credibility.

Why don't you go back to your school in Surrey and learn a little grammar and how to spell correctly
