He'll already have his world Cup pundit gig lined up for the Summer and no shortage of mug chairmen falling over themselves to offer him something for next season. In his head, he'll already have ditched Sunderland.

Takes all the credit when his sides win but blames everyone but himself when they lose. Sound familiar?

His ego is taking a real hammering but he'll be ok in the long run.

This quote is very telling:

"The ball barely left our half for the first 5 mins. Passing around back and forth with the back 7. Back 4, Catts, Jack and Ki. This tippy tappy keeping the ball isnt constructive football when its confined to your own half. If Gus wants fans to cheer when we score or win. Go oooh at near misses. Then he has to put up with Aaargh at mistakes and frustration of lack of forward momentum. Gans with the job. And this possession shit is Sky and Co bollocks stats to discuss ower. The goals count at the end is the only one that puts points on the board".

There's no doubt Gus has a 'signature style' and it's playing out at Sunderland exactly as it did with us. Need to find another couple of strings for that bow, eh Gussie!

Sunderland had 66% possession in that match. That rather sums up their problems, they do not convert their chances and they have a self-destructive streak. That was the case there a long time before Poyet pitched up in the North East. Aston Villa have won a couple of matches away from home this season where they have been completely outplayed in terms of possession, they won at Southampton when they only had 29% of the ball. They don't create much but they pose a threat with their pace on the break. Sunderland need to add some creativity and a goalscorer this month, but Poyet probably doesn't have a great deal to spend because his predecessor was allowed to blow the budget.

He's fed up. What a shame. And frankly, who cares?
