So we want to replace the keeper who has kept a bundle of clean sheets in League One, with the one that got himself sent off twice in three games, and dropped various clangers in the conference?

Good call.

Seriously - Ankergren's obvious weakness is commading his area under a high ball. Thing is, that has been Kuipers' weakness for about four years as well.

As I see it FDM was a top earner. Getting him off the books once he went of the boil and bringing in two fantastic 'keeps in Brez and Casper was a superb move. I think we are actually spoilt to have such competition between the sticks and letting FDM go, wasn't an easy decision for Poyet to make, but it was certainly a good one.

That's just it. We have a great keepers in Brez and Casper. That's not to say they don't have the odd weakness. But for our level they bloody good and anyone better isn't really that realistic an option when you're playing at a converted athletics track in the middle of nowhere.

What more could Casper have done?? Clean sheet after clean sheet. That's what I care about!

Kuipers is near legend status for all albion fans, for some he's there. i will enjoy going to his testimonial next year (do hope he's still going to get one...). but he's not entirly a brilliant keeper and has spent alot of time in the last few years on the bench as other keepers pushed him down the order. so lets let it go ok?

Ankegren and Brezovan are both definitely better keepers than Kuipers, nowadays. He would be 3rd choice so not much point getting him back.

You are clearly an IDIOT, who is overlooking how good Kuipers was in 2004.

I must admit I thought Gus was a bit premature in kicking MK out of the door and getting in other keepers - and I still don't know why he got Poke in - Walker might be young and inexperienced, but surely OK for a third choice GK (how often would he actually play, after all?).

But I keep getting this strange feeling that Gus knows his job better than I do.................
