Well that's good Tony, because it's going to mean a £90 million investment wasted on a League 2 team.

Let's be honest here, the defence is wank and the midfield is worse, - without service the forwards won't score.

Only one way we're going.

WW, I will bet a LARGE amount of money with you that we won't go down this year. The away form will continue to be as excellent as it has been, and the home form will slowly pick up.

Disagree.

Slade had a proven record of keeping teams up.
Poyet has proved f*** all.

Last years squad had Owusu.
This years squad has Chris Holroyd.

Last season we didn't have a run of games we were virtually guaranteed to lose, and we didn't quite appreciate how shit our home form really was.

If wish I had a large amount of money to waste on bets, unfortunately I just seem to waste it on wank Albion performances.

I am 100% certain we won't go down. I actually think we can still finish in the top half.

"Don't like" is not the same as "Will not".

So far we have signed Carole, Painter and Holroyd. I seem to remember that Poyet said that one more signing was a possibility.

There are plenty of reasons why we haven't signed a glut of players.

Incidentally, who are you wanting to sign? Are they available? Can we afford them?

whats the point of writing us off at this point? we're not even in the relegation zone ffs, have a game in hand over 4 teams above us and two in hand over another 2 above us. no the home form isnt great, but buying a couple of average players isnt going to fix that. theres plenty of talent, it just needs work. at the end of the day, its Blooms money when you put up £90m you might have more say in what happens in the transfer window.

You just can't help yourself can you. I bet you were a very unpleasant child and disliked by most people at school - but you convinced yourself that they were all wrong and you were right. Why do you seem SO DAMN DELIGHTED when a poor side give you the chance to snipe?

Erm, no.

There is a world of difference between being pissed off and "damn delighted", and I assure you i'm not the latter.

Signing a striker with that money, without strengthening our midfield, was a ridiculous move.

Murray & Forster have scored a lot of goals this year, which is miraculous considering the woeful support they have.

Holroyd is probably a good player, as is Dickinson, but they're never going to score goals here. We desperatley need a decent attacking central midfielder and a proper left winger. Without that we're in serious trouble.

What money? Why has that stopped us signing a midfielder? Is the right midfielder available? Do the coaching staff feel we need another midfielder?

We paid a fee for this striker did we not? Besides that's irrelevant. Strengthening our midfield should be our number one priority. Signing another striker is going to make absolutely no difference.

What's the point of having another striker when firstly we already have two of the best strikers in the division and a more than adequate back up in Liam Dickinson, and secondly, we can't even get the ball to him?!

I think Holroyd touched the ball 3 maybe 4 times today when he was on the pitch for about half an hour, part of a 3 man strike force and we were chasing a deficit.

What do you mean 'is the right midfielder available' and 'can we afford him'? Get the scouts to go and do what they're paid for and FIND a midfielder that can improve our squad for the money we have.

I thought we were bloody good today and well worth a point. Play like that for the rest of the season and we'll surely stay up.

This home form is f***ing terrible though. We as ST holders deserve medals for the lack of wins we've seen this year at home.

I think with the run of games coming up things could well get worse before they get better

My point was I don't think signing a striker is going to make any difference. You said 'that money' as if there was only a certain sum available and we have used it all.

We did need another striker. Forster can't be expected to play 70+ minutes a game for the rest of the season and the only other reserve is Dickinson or Hart. He seems to be a replacement for Forster and Murray/Dickinson are of a similar breed of striker. I don't think it is a case of buying a midfielder and THEN a striker. You take what is available at the time.

I not suggesting you go out and look for a midfielder. I am sure we have been searching, but there in no point buying any old sailor just to appease the fans. What if the right players are not available to us? It is not just a case of throwing money at someone.
