It's simple, Gully's Girls have been sacked to save money.

Maybe a better option would have been to sack 10-20% of the stewards. It constantly baffles me how many we have just standing around. Complete waste of money.

And more expensive are the ones brought in from agency's.

This and another thread encouraged me to see how many stewards I encountered as I made my way to the Uni car park.

3 at the entrance to the Uni to check my parking ticket was valid and another to stick 4 fingers in the air indicating Car Park 4 (the third guy wasn't too bright and jumped in front of my car as I started off-holding 4 fingers up).

A quick glance up to the next Car Park showed 4 more stewards plus 1 sitting in a bus shelter I think it was.

That totals 20 in what is probably 200 yards?

Probably at least a Dozen more at the remaining car parks and others dotted around doing absolutely sod all and serving no purpose whatsoever.

So, at least 32 stewards in the Uni Car Parks alone when it really only needs 12 at most. The majority are agency too.

Your 10-20% is looking very generous Giraffe.

I like this game. I've played it before. There are eight stewards in the slip road down to Bennets Field. All pointing towards where you need to go. Basically some signs would do the job.

Then as you walk to the stadium from the car park there a further ten at various parts again telling you where to go even though there are signs.

At the entrance to the 1901 club there are three people, one to check you know how to scan your card, one to give a programme and one other to cover the first two in case they are removed by aliens.

On the first floor at the lounge entrance there are two to open the door and say hello.

As you enter the lounge there are two more to say hello.

I don't bother with the lounge hardly ever. But at the top of the stairs there are two more to say hello as you enter the West Stand and then a further one at the top of the stairs.

28 in total. I would say about six are necessary the rest are a total waste of space.

I beat you because my totals don't include the ones at the station (both sides of the bridge) nor the ones I encounter before reaching my seat. So there!

Get rid of the ones genuinely not needed and we have enough for a decent striker's wages.
