I noticed that when RR announced they were about to start he just said '...and now for a bit of dancing'

Then when they'd finished he said, 'well done to The Girls'. No mention of Gullys Girls at all.

All quite petty really.

LOL, the bizrate advertising highlighted the word girls in your post and when I clicked on it I got a page titled "Shop for girls online".

Unfortunately, closer examnination showed it was just selling girls' jackets.

It's simple, Gully's Girls have been sacked to save money.

Maybe a better option would have been to sack 10-20% of the stewards. It constantly baffles me how many we have just standing around. Complete waste of money.

How did Gully's Girls cost money? They weren't paid cheerleaders and I don't imagine those skimpy outfits cost much in the way of material...

Also, they were sponsored by CPA.

I notice that GG still have their page up on the OS.

Good luck to Gullys Girls for everything they do in the future.

To generate money, perhaps the club are looking for groups that are willing to pay for the privilege of performing in front of 25,000 people. I'd be rather opposed to this.

It beats me too! I'm just trying to find some justification for it. This was the best I could do!

They had their own dedicated facilities in the West Stand and at the start of last season they occupied numerous prime seats behind the dug out. Something had to give.

There are plenty of empty seats in the ground, even yesterday when it was a record attendance.

What did their own facilities in the West Stand involve?

The way I interpreted it yesterday was the dance started as a bit of a dance off between gullys girls and the dance troop with gg winning and the troop became gullys girls and therefore the troop were no more !

I saw it more as a battle between good and evil with the temptation of evil winning over the forces of hope and faith, although the the dark side came on top i see room for a further two dance off's which would probably last for three hours each,i also see dwarfs and elves getting involved with barber the white and a few ugly mucker's getting tempted by someone's ring:facepalm:
