I am so tempted by this, but have practically no money and will probably do no revision/work if I buy it, so it might have to wait.

Apparently GTA4 is FREE with any Xbox at Woolies.

So you could get the Arcade model (with GTA4, memory card and arcade games) for £160, or the Premium for £200.

BARGAIN.

Correct, assuming you can find a Woolies which still has stock of the game.

It's a bit bloody good this game, is it not?

I haven't played that far into it yet, missions-wise, but just exploring and wandering around the area that's open from the start gives you a sense of the effort that has gone into putting this together down to the most minute detail.

Cannot WAIT to get into the area simulating Manhattan.

You could always flash your 360 drive... parts to do it yourself cost £15 or something, free games forever, plus online works provided you make double sure your games are patched right.

Not for me though, naturally.

It is very good indeed. And as said before you can really see the huge amount of work that has gone into making this game. The pedestrians interaction with each other and amount of them is incredible.
What does everyone think of the car handling and combat system? I personally love the driving, it feels more realistic than previous gta's. As for the combat system, it seems a bit fiddly at times and I prefer to manual aim.
I am taking my time with this game and not spunking through the missions as quick as possible like a lot of people do. One last thing, multiplayer, who's done what so far online and what multiplayer mode do you like playing?
So many questions............:bounce:

I've played it for a couple of evenings now and it's excellent. It's not a massive leap forward from the likes of GTA: San Andreas, but it does look and feel fantastic. The driving took some getting used to at first and in the few shoots outs I've had, I think the aiming is pretty much the same as the other GTAs. Gave multiplayer a quick wizz on Free Mode and it was quite a laff.

Thought I should add that in the game you start at the Liberty City equivalent of New York's Brighton Beach, which they've renamed Hove Beach  The wags!

see thats exactly why the franchise is so good, little jokes and details that would probably be lost on 99% of the player base.

I've just spent $250 in the strip club on private dancers before killing eveyone with the shotgun....mmm...satisfying....

Get drunk as many times as you can, it's the funniest part of the game..especially if you try and drive too!!!

beware cheaters, don't think you get achievements on xbox when you use them.

not played online yet may take a look over weekend. Been too busy just driving round testing cars and listening to radio.
Anyone watched the Ricky Gervais stand up on TV at the safe house?
