Southgate will forgive them and play them no doubt being the wet lettuce that he is

As will Foden's girlfriend a home with their 1 year old child.

He is coming across more and more of a yes man, I was willing to give Southgate time and see what direction he would take the team.
However as usual we are stagnant on the pitch and seem completely devoid of ideas on how to break mediocre teams down.
Same old, same old England sparkling talent, with no ambition or final product flatter to deceive every bloody tournament, he should have motivated the team in Semis and really blew it, Kane should not have started, he should have been brought on later in that game, which just proves he is a yes man, frightened to upset the apple cart....

boring

Southgate is an FA yes man

He is not an astute, tactical football manager

The Southgate hate (due to him inexplicably not picking Dunk I agree) is in danger of boiling over into another NSC stick to beat our country with. Can see it now ‘I’m glad THEY lost etc etc’. Southgate is mental for not picking Dunk, but he’s doing good things with the England team and has been successful with young players so obviously will get my full support for my country as always. Should go without saying, but appreciate many won’t be able to comprehend the thought of supporting our country at our sport, and make up some sort of club v country thing as per...

Very harsh criticism of young men with more cash than they know what to do with and more self confidence than they can handle. They'll make mistakes and they'll grow up when they have to face the criticism. It's always the same with young players breaking into the team, inevitably they do something silly and then learn from the consequences. It didn't do David Beckham any harm and Wayne Rooney's granny fetish was quickly stale news.

Disagree in this case. If it was a 'normal' away trip then yes, but given the Covid protocols (and risks - including to future matches etc) they will have had what they can and can't do absolutely and repeatedly drilled into them before the trip - in simple words of one syllable so even they should have been able to understand.

Both now booted out of the squad for the Denmark game.

Brighton factually.....
I don’t have an issue with you not liking Southgate but get your facts right. Last calendar year we scored more international goals than in our entire history (equal with 1908). Mostly against mediocre teams we needed to break down. So you are talking total nonsense on that front.

Iceland 0-1 dull game penalty

going backwards

I’m with Sheebo here BUT times are different and many many people are suffering and sacrificing with the belief that we are all in this together. It seems not with more and more footballers letting us down. What must Rashford think of some of his team mates?

Stat attack with the facts that matter

I did wonder whether it was worth posting - none of any of our business what happens behind the doors at Chez Foden.

But that said I was quite surprised when I saw her, and the toddler, referenced by someone else.

Looking at Foden, it reminds me of the time Peter Crouch was asked what he would be if he wasn't a Professional Footballer and his reply was 'a virgin'

Firstly, Icelandic women are hot so i totally get the temptation. But, buck stops at Southgate here IMHO. We've got him defending the behaviour of Maguire, overseeing a game with a wreckless red card, a player stomping on the penalty spot and our two best young players picking up birds and inviting them to their room?! WTF?
Doesn't bode well really does it?
He's bound to say 'they're good lads, they're young lads' etc.
We also play shit football.

EDIT: Actually what the **** is wrong with footballers?! They've just had their summer holidays!

Iclandic women are indeed very attractive - They are also batshit mental!

I do agree, they've broken rules and they deserve to be punished. The strongest punishment is removing them from the squad and sending them home but I'm sure they'll realise England away games aren't a jolly going forward. I wouldn't be too critical of them, they're going to be important players for England for the next 10 years. It's a bad start and they've let themselves down but it's not terminal. They'll realise the error of their ways and grow up a bit.
