Green Woodpecker

I saw a green woodpecker in the rockery opposite Preston Park, when I was on the way to work the other morning. Possibly the most beautiful thing that Iv'e seen since Leon's winner at home to Watford the other week.

Yep, lovely birds. Went for a walk today along Lancing seafront to Shoreham and up the Adur to the Red Lion. Saw an Egret on the Widewater and a few Redshanks. The white of the Egret is brilliant, really glows.

Indeed it is. My bother's nickname is Yaffleman, he doesn't look like a Woodpecker though.
