Great afterNOONE but I don't think we were 100% today

In fact I'd go so far as to say we were running at about 70% capacity. We've played better already this season and that's not to put a dampener on today's performance, I just know we can do better, and that excites me.

Percentage wise where would YOU put today's performance?

Around 75% I would say as we looked very lethargic at times but to be fair have had a lot of games recently.

Next games are Saturday, Saturday, Tuesday, Friday, Tuesday then Saturday so 5 games in 14 days

I agree that we were 60-70% but we took our chances and defended well. It's always encouraging to see us win without playing that well, especially when we were fairly comfortable

You could see there were tired legs out there and its understandable. We went head to head for 120 minutes against a good premier league team on Tuesday and personally I think the international break has come at the right time, the boys need a rest. Just a shame that CMS is in the Scotland squad (as much as I'm happy that he is playing international football!) as he could do with a rest as well!

All in all a good performance and I'm very happy this evening, a very good start to the season!

I thought today we defended well. Peterborough were pretty good at getting forward but they broke down as soon as the ball got close to going in the Penalty area. Their right back Little was good at getting in to space and running with the ball in the second half but just broke down when it came down to passing or crossing.

Don't think the forwards were on form today but Dunk, Greer, Bridcutt and Dicker were spot on. As they say if you win when playing badly..

Noone was vey good again and Lua Lua looked hungry when he came on. I really am very excited about this season now..

I would tend to agree with this. I think too many of the earlier posters have ignored the fact that Peterborough were very good at keeping the ball and pushing forward but it was the final third were their play let them down.

It's been a hectic and exciting start to the season and maybe the players were a little below 100% physically & mentally.

The opposition finished below us last season and we beat them twice. Maybe the big match feeling wasn't quite there. Bound to be other games like this, we have been spoilt so far. Still, a win and top of the league, can't be bad.

We def weren't fully there today but it was nice to win when not at full tilt.

Hopefully the 2 week gap will give them some time to rest. Can't wait to see Harley, Buckley, Noone, Hoskins & CMS in the same side. Someone is going to get destroyed if Gus is brave enough to play them together.

The two week break before the next game should help to recharge the batteries before the September onslaught.

Agree 70 % , if Posh had anything about them up top then may of been different

Crikey could we of done with Buckley and Hoskins today. Taking Noone off meant we went narrow and were never really going to be a massive threat on the break. I wouldnt of made that change, saying that , we conserved the 2 - 0 so Poyet will argue job done and who am I to question God

Roll on B.City. Lets punch on now

Id put today on par with the Gillingham cup game, we did enough to win the match.
The whole feel of the day with the atmosphere aswell seemed like that cup game aswell, maybe beacuse of the buzz of the Liverpool draw got people excited earlier in the day?

We have been on top of our game for a season and a bit now, and that takes a LOT of physical and mental toughness. As said above, when we get a few injured players back, GP can rotate more or less like for like. Harley was a relevation today. No fuss midfield play, which was missing a bit, and a cracking freekick to boot. Encore!

Today is the first time in 27 league games that Pboro have been beaten by more than 1 goal...So good run & no surprise they are not too shabby (nb we're up to 35 on the same stat)

Every quality team has to be able to play at 70% and win, and thats exactly what we have done.

Mark of promotion contenders I reckon!!!
