You can't beat it!

I went to watch some of my mates in a cup final last night at Shoreham. It's only a small little ground on Middle Road, with about 20/30 odd seats and the rest standing. But it reminded me how much fun grass roots football can be.

£3 entry with decent music being played long before kick off. Nice little clubhouse with a good atmosphere amongst friends. Also the chance to have a pint and a fag while watching the game was wonderful!

Passionate players with a will to win all over the park, maybe some of our pampered players could learn something from watching these games.

We lost 1-0, but at only £15 for a ticket and a few drinks, you can't complain!

Football as it should be. It made me feel glad to be alive!

I know what you mean, took the lad to watch Burgess Hill last Saturday play Corinthian Casuals. It was 0 -0 but a fairly decent game, same facilities as you mentioned and former Albion man Gavin Geddes was making his debut for the Hillians. Total cost £10 (apart from the grub).
