God forbid, are we not allowed as little old Brighton to have some success, or are we meant to hang around in the lower leagues and be bullied by clubs like Ipswich.

Ipswich are shit. The only people who think they are a good club, is them. Aggregate score in Brighton vs Ipswich this season is a 4-3 win for the Albion. We are currently a much better team, it is our cycle and we are on the up. They are stagnant.

"well if Leadboots did leave us for BHA it would only be for wages - which demonstrates all that is wrong in football these days. Its hardly a step up for him is it !"

Of course, moving from a lower mid-table team to a play-off chasing team is not a step up. Neither is moving from a club with a shite ground, 35% of seats unfilled and Paul Jewell in charge to a club with one of the best grounds in the league that sells out every week and has Gustavo Poyet at the helm. Deluded cnuts.

This guy has got it right though:

"By the time GL has to decide what he wants to do Brighton could well be a Premier League team capable of offering him a Premier League contract. Throw in a new stadium with a growing fan base and one of the Country's best young managers and what's not to consider. Whether or not this rumour is true it demonstrates the progress Brighton have made while we have been standing still."

Some of their fans don't seem that keen on us do they judging by THAT banner and those comments? Maybe as Norwich are so much better than them these days they are trying to start a new rivalry but I would suggest Colchester might be more appropriate.

Would make for a great banner.

Something along the lines of "The Amex is much better, we've got Leadbetter".

I don't know what their beef is against us either. What a bunch of bitter miserable buggers they are.

Apart from his goal in midweek, does anyone know anything about him?

He played for Sunderland when I had a season ticket there, was a quality player one of the best I have seen in the red and white, was sad to see him go! Used to go to school with a relative of mine!

Looks like Butterfield is off to Newcastle, according to reports in the paper today. He is out of contract in the summer, but apparently Newcastle have agreed to pay £2m compensation. Coming back from a nasty injury too, isn't he?

Nice to see they are not all clowns.

Ipswich is a decent club, no need to do them down just because some of them don't realise what we are.

Caught in a Riptide
TWTD.co.uk | Leadbitter Linked With Brighton - Ipswich Town News

Some interesting views from the Ipswich fans about this!

I particularly like the comment about it being a '"watershed" moment for Ipswich if they lose Leadbitter to "little Brighton". Like many other clubs fans in our division I think they could do with a little reality check.

I like this one:

Cue Brighton banner for next season. "Hated by a section of our fans, Fighting for a place in the first team up until a few weeks ago, There are somethings no money can't not buy, for everything else not bought by no Amex, Grant Leadbitter -Priceless":D

Yeah Like that lad have been surprised he has not done better though as he looked good a few seasons ag in the prem. A young Paul scholes type of player we could do with once razak and assulin go back to city.
