The usual suspects are making the NSC thread headlines, good or bad, so I thought it right to praise, who I thought was MOM today, Grant Hall. Very accomplished at Centre Half and never put a foot wrong. Distribution was very good and won pretty much everything in the air that came at him. Well done son, excellent performance!

Maybe the reason he (Gus) felt he could let Cookie go knowing he had Hall as a decent cover for Dunk/Greer/El-Abd?

Agreed. Another in the Lewis Dunk mould. And as for JFC, that lad is quality. Will be a fight to keep him.

Well said. I thought he was MOM today, not wish to take anything away from JFC who played well but Hall shone brighter.

Well played today all the DS lads, shame you didnt get the result but remember, there's always next time.

For me, 2 games is nowhere near enough time to start saying he's going to be the new Vicente, perhaps??? Lets wait and see how he progresses during the course of the season. I hope your right though.

Probably spot on, although im not sure if they wont be cover for him if he keeps playing like that. Lets hope he can produce in the Championship the type of performance we saw today.

Grant was my MoM today, with JFC a close second & Brezo third.

Very impressed with the lad, good & strong in the air and certainly not afraid to bring the ball out - great prospect!

Very much liking the look of Hall. If there's space in front of him the first thing he's looking to do is move into it, looked very accomplished bringing the ball out often over the halfway line. He was comfortably my MOTM today, very promising.

Ahem this is what I was saying last Tuesday when Cookie went. Hall is a great young player with a good future in front of him.

I am glad you started this thread, If you hadn't I would of. I was saying to my Son on the way home, what a good game Hall had, especially in the light of his inexperience. Just think what the lad will be like in a seasons time, if he gets the match time he deserves. Very confident in the tackle and on the ball.

JFC, was class again today, but I too would have picked Hall for MoM over young Jake today.

I have watched the DS a couple of times this season and to see a few of the lads step up and have decent games is very satisfying. It also highlights what a great set up we have at the Albion. Good work Gus and the coaching team.

Very impressed with him - commanded the backline and looked very assured on the deck and in the air - really looking forward to seeing him break into the first team.

apart from the goal - hall and vincelot looked a great pair. i do feel that the double sub that had been waiting to come on for ages distracted them for a moment and allowed the wrexham guy to dribble through. although that might just have been me being distracted. i was surprised that gus carried on with the same subs after the goal - thought he might have held back for a moment to think about what he wanted to do. the fact that he didn't pretty much shows that it was all about time for the DS today - and having a replay is not a problem as it means they get another chance.

I had Hall down as MoM today. Not just for his defensive work, but he had the quality to bring the ball into midfield when the space was there. Hall, JFC and Kasim were the really bright spots for me today

Yep - cool as a cucumber - him and Cook the best players on the pitch in the Eastbourne Borough opener. Fantastic player and future captain if you ask me.
