His public persona is quite different to the real Souness apparently. I’ve spoken to various people over the years who know him and they only have good things to say about him. I hated the Pogba, De Zerbi type stuff but I do wonder how much was stoked up by Sky and talkSport encouraging him to be controversial.

6 months cold water sea training, he said it only clicked three months in. Hopefully he’ll complete the challenge in good health.

100%. For me the greatest human physical achievement of all time is the female American swimmer who did, I think, four back to back crossings of the channel, swimming for days, through the night etc. I'm not even sure if she even exited the water at either end during the attempt. Swollen tongue/throat and difficulty swallowing/breathing due to accidentally swallowing sea water is what does for many.
People deride David Walliams, but that was some achievement.
