So the government is advising households to prepare a national crisis emergency kit. Seems fair enough, with all the stuff going on in the world.

But how long could YOU survive in your own household, with the provisions that you have in your home, if civilisation come to a halt?

It's fairly easy to collect cooking water through rain and other means, and make a fire by burning flammable items if without gas.

I remember when we had the run on pasta, tomatoes and toilet rolls, me and Mrs Wz reckon that between the various bathroom cupboards, the larder and the two freezers we could go 12-16 weeks. Maybe 24 if we weren't fussy
