Interesting to hear Graham Taylor say live on the radio that he did not think that fans were ready yet for a anti-homophobic campaign in football.

''Its not the time for players to come forward and help in the campagn''

I don't need, or want, a campaign against homophobia. So good.

I imagine a lot more people are offended by homophobic chants than are willing to admit it because if they do most people will shout them down as either gay, liberal busy bodies ruining the game with political correctness, or in some way less than men for not being able to take "a bit of banter" in this "man's game".

"The PFA was hopeful that some of the Premier League's stars would put their names and faces forward to support the campaign. But the Independent claims that the PFA have been unable to persuade anyone to take part.

The newspaper reports that players feared being ridiculed by both opposition players and supporters for appearing in the video, and being subjected to taunts and chants."

I beg to differ, Graham talks a lot of sense...I can't imagine he would consider driving homophobia out of football a low priority, or any type of descrimination for that matter...he was one of the first managers to include black players in his team, Barnes and Blissett, at a time when racial descrimination was prevalent in the game.
