The SFA is completely right, it's one case where the 'thin end of the wedge' argument is spot on.

Once they start down that road, FIFA and UEFA, whatever their weasel words now, would start looking at it very seriously as to whether we deserve four teams from Great Britain in qualifying for their tournaments.

What's more important for Scotland, one poxy London Olympics when as people have said football shouldn't even be in it and no one is interested, or having the chance (and failing, clearly) to reach proper big tournaments.

That's nothing to do with it. The scots are thinking of the bigger issue

??? surely Scotland losing their Nation team for their National sport is the bigger issue for them?

no idea what the FA interest in a GB would be. more power/money? doubt they'd get that, but maybe they think they will?

The SFA are wankers. On this, however, they're right.

Absolutely! They are right on at least three counts _

1). It would be the thin end of the wedge;
2). Since Dalglish retired, there wouldn't be any scots in a Great Britain 1st. eleven (not many Welsh or Norn Irish either, although Giggs would have solved our left midfield problem for quite a few years);
3). Football shouldn't be in the Olympics anyway, it's just wrong - and it's too close to the European Nations championship anyway.
