Did you sing the song for your wife ?

We gave her a party at the United Services Club in HH on Saturday that was attended by about 100 people, family and friends and I sang it there.

Suprisingly it went down very well better than I could have hoped and numerous people came up to her and said, " I have never heard that song what beautiful words where did you get it from' to which she replied it was a minor hit for Cliff Richard in the 60s.

The Sunday Lunch was just my wife and I, our 3 boys and their partners and children. As I said it was at The Farmers and the food could not be faulted but the only real ale they sold was Harveys, which I dont like and the drinks were quite expensive.

Mid Sussex is full of tight pensioners like my parents who because of people like this joker think everywhere they go is expensive just because it costs £20 for a starter and a main.

Would say the same about my parents, except they're only 55:lol:

In most restaurants nowadays the Mains are fairly standard it is the starters and sweets plus the drink, even coke, that make the meal expensive.

I am a great believer in that you get what you pay for if you pay £5.00 for a steal what do you expect to get? If you pay £10 you expect better. The problem, more so with pubs than restaurants, is that owners change and so do chefs and if you do not go somewhere for a couple of years what was good may not still be so.
