Can't believe some of the crap on this thread. Here's a man who has lied, cheated & bullied his way to the top whilst almost singlehandedly (with Blair's collusion) destroying the British economy in the last 11 years. Started by destroying one of the best pension systems in the world and hopefully finishing soon. Honest & decent human being my arse!!!

Excellent post backed up by bugger all! Lied and cheated, can you vindicate that comment with some facts.

As for bullied, it's politics, thats what they all do, whatever colour your allegience is with.

Almost single handedly destroyed the British economy! Who attacked British manufacturing in the 80s and 90s? Who sold off all the utilities and our railway network? Who had the benefit of North Sea Oil during their tenure? Who almost destroyed the NHS? Who stands for less regulation when the Banks need more?

f*** me, that's the most one-eyed political post I've ever read, and considering you've got looney to compete with, that's some achievement.

Hmm...Simster telling us that the Tories have no policies, Drew telling people the tories eat babies. Before long we'll also have mention of The Bullingdon Club, Toffs, Gordon Brown being honest but unlucky (that's a good 'un) and all the other usual suspects telling us that capitalism is dead and a new socialist world order is on the horizon.

Meanwhile in the real world the centre right are giving Johnny Socialist a right pasting right across Europe, the Tories are predicted to do rather well (makes you wonder just how well if UKIP weren't around) and Labour beaten into 5th and 6th place.

It's called schadenfreude. It's fecking delicious.

Sorry, you can't say that... do you not remember Thatcher eating babies in the 80s? Cameron is just the same.... !!! :annoyed:

Well said PL.

If you think this is bad, just wait till Comedy Dave gets in.

No government would have been able to get out of the current financial shit we are in.
The expenses shit was well due to be 'revealed' ( incidently, I think this was promoted by the banks to deflect their own misdemeanors).

Why do some people think Comedy Dave will be any different to Thatch? They are Tories, we dont come into their social engineering.

If they get in, we will be paying for it for years, decades.

Let's just start with one. Gordon Brown spent several years as Chancellor ensuring the banks were deregulated, in significant part to allow his Scottish cronie Fred Goodwin to expand RBS to breaking point.
No -let's add a second one. Who threw away all the residual benefits of North Sea Oil benefits and sold our Gold at budget prices so the UK has no reserves to deal with recession?

:clap2:

Comic genius. Tell you what. Have a look at the (very ambitious) repayment plans for the estimated deficit that this shithole of a government will leave us by the end of 2010 and then come back and say that again with a straight face.

Mmmmm, so Buzz, what is the answer?. Tell ya what, we are are on (another) merry-go-round of shit. What I do know is that another change of policy is what is NOT needed.
Not sure where you lie, but if you really, really really think the Tories are the answer, then play on.

Should we be surprised, appalled or relieved that the BNP got 9% of the votes in the North East area?

Firmly in the Tory camp for me, KNC. One-nation Tory who thinks that we need to roll back the encroachment of Government from our public and private lives, a referendum on the Lisbon treaty and the application of the Merkel/German model to get us out of this quagmire, namely stop spending what we can't afford to repay.

edit - you're welcome.

Buzz, not sure if your winding me up here.
We are all f***ed m8.

Just looking for the easier option. Having lived through the Thatch years, and lost jobs, seen communities lost. Lives lost.
Dont start quoting Lisbon/Merkel, until you have read, or lived through some of the Tory scum shite which WILL be dealt.

Sad politico that I am I've read the Lisbon treaty from start to sorry finish. I've also lived through the Thatcher years.

Still, thanks for calling me scum and shite. Nice way to carry on a debate.

Also lived hrough the Thatcher years.
Surely more jobs and lives lost in the last few years of Brown and Blair than in the whole of the Thatcher years?

Buzz, the scum, shite, was not aimed at you personally. sorry, if you took it that way.

And I applaud you for reading the mind bending treaty.

But, but, but, Im sorry, Im a socialist, I believe in everyone getting a fair shot at everything. Whatever Comedy Dave seems, scratch the surface, and the same old bigotted Tory principles shine through.

I am happy with that.:)

Fair dos if that's your party, CG but I for one have stopped worrying about the BNP. I was reading recently about the rise of the far-right in the 70s and can see parallels with now. Perhaps not the thread to start (yet another) BNP thread and I'll PM you another time about it would be interested to hear your views).

In other news, the Tories are predicted to have the largest share of the vote in........Wales. I'm praying that Labour keep hold of Brown until the GE.

There you go again. Socialists don't have the monopoly on compassion, fairness and civil responsibility and plenty of socialists are bigots (perhaps explaining the haemorrhaging of Labour votes to BNP in Stoke and Burnley) and plenty of Tories, like me, are in favour of a multicultural secular society.

If you can't see that then there's no point us debating. Sorry.

Thats ok mate. I think the media talked up the BNP for whatever reason. As long as the vote is up I am happy. From little acorns as they say
