You old cynic you, expect that (like me) you are fed up with all the press and TV hype around exam result time these days.
I didn't get on breakfast TV behaving as if I had experienced a family bereavment because I would have to doss around for 4 years at a different University to the one I wanted because I didn't work hard enough at my studies when I got my "O" and "A" level results. Breakfast TV hadn't even been invented then, internet was something out of sci fi, SAE left at the school office was good enough for us, bah humbug.
Seriously though regards to all those going through the trauma, the small Pottings are a few years away from this by which time hopefully things will have calmed down and the "everyone must go to University" bubble will have burst! Must say that we were all pleased to learn that Bro in laws sort of step daughter sailed through all 4 of her AS levels with straight "A"'s - a reward for all her hard work.
