Can't believe there is no thread to wish the guy luck.

Okay i am only one of millions of Brighton Fans relieved of staying up last season, and although Mickey's tactics and gameplan at times seemed crazy and nearly got us relegated, the players must share a brunt of criticism here aswell.

I remember the guy who is Brighton thru n thru and the First time round when he was a hero for us.

Sod it, Best of Luck Mickey with Port Vale next season!

Mr Adams expected the players to perform, and when they didn’t he showed no passion and was clueless as to how to get out of the hole.

In any job it’s what you do and how you perform now that is important, yesterday, last week, last year do not count, it’s all about today.

I wish Port Vale well.

Port Vale have got a seriously good manager on their hands. Good luck Micky and Port Vale. I hope you get all the success you deserve, and that the Vale fans prove to be less idiotic than ours.

Idiots for not wanting to get relegated by a man who'd lost it? I'm sure you may have wanted to keep him but maybe that makes you one of the idiots you are talking about..

Time will tell how seriously good he is, I wish him luck but really don't expect him to do much. We'll have to wait and see.

No, the idiots were the ones on his back in September and October just because we weren't top of the league. I'm a believer that any manager needs a period of time to settle into a new job, no matter how successful their predecessor was. I also think our squad last season was poor, and in need of massive rebuilding. We're lucky that now we've got a bald love god who is capable of doing it this summer, but Micky may have too.

I take what you say but I could see he was tactically bereft by October and was one of the 1st to want him gone. But then I don't think the team needed dismantling and putting back together in such a haphazard way. I don't mind being called an idiot, I'm just glad the board eventually bit the bullet and decided even with a 3 year contract he had to go. I wish him no ill but what he did 1st time around cannot be used as an excuse to forgive the mess he made this time imo. He had me wanting to leave every game I went to by half time, in sheer frustration at the incompetence displayed by his team and lack of tactics. In my defence I never actually booed him or the team but I did stop going towards the end of his reign

But I think the squad DID need dismantling. The mistake Micky made was that he brought in a few players who haven't contributed what you'd expect them to. So on that basis, he messed up. No doubt about it. But I still think people were way too quick to jump on his back.

Oh well, it doesn't matter now because we've got the greatest man (not including Gary Barlow or Michel Kuipers) that ever walked the planet in charge.

We think differently, I believe in evolution rather than revolution :lolol:

I wonder if you will say that in a few months, or if you jump on the bandwagon of slating him if things dont go right immediately. People are getting carried away with RS as all he did was play the players in their correct positions which any of us could have done. He was not some tactical genius who turned us into an all conquering side. Now that the dust has settled lets wait and see what happens. I wish him the best of luck as I want us to win the division but I do have serious misgivings about his appointment and wonder if it was a cheap option at the time.
