Lots has been said about a new manager, but we have also sacked 2 coaches/clowns/whatever you want to call them.

They need to be replaced, so who is out there that can come to our aid/Tony Bloom's Wad

Gary Stevens has been mentioned as a manager, but surely he would be a better coach?

Nicky Forster is doing his coaching badges, but who else is there that you think could do more than just a job, but get the team playing like a team and not shitify the rest of the season

and remember it doesnt have to be someone that played for us since we moved to Withdean

The new(ish) youth team coach, Steve Brown, seems to know his stuff - could he be internally promoted to first team coach?

I wonder if we will get a defensive coach as can be seen in many Rugby teams...

Hold on, I'll crank up FM2010 and see what Defensive coaches are unattached with a rating of 20

Gary Stevens, Charlie Oatway (would like to see him given the role as first team assistant coach so he can learn the trade.) Wally Downes, Gus Poyet, Nicky Forster, Guy Butters, John Barnes (would be a great mentor for players like Bennett)

John Barnes knows nothing. Superb footballer - shit coach. End of.

I'd like someone who has never been associated with BHA before. That way we wouldn't have an opinion on them before they even start.

so you dont think an ex England winger would be able to mentor the wide players at the club? im not saying he should be manager but there would be some uses to him in the coaching staff.

Slade tried to get Tim Breacker  as coach who went to Charlton, I wonder if he would have made a difference?

Slade also did not trust Barry Lloyd according to Andy Naylor.

I'd like to see us bring Iffy Onoura in, very highly respected within the game, has served his apprenticeship and Walsall and Lincoln and would be a big hit with the players.

You've got to feel a bit sorry for John Barnes, he was a great footballer but since then he's tried presenting on Channel 5 and was shit at that, then he tried management and was shit at that. Surely he can find something else he's good at.

It amazes me that people start spouting off about unproven individuals. Why exactly would Gary Stevens be a good coach. On what evidence is this based? He was a great football but then so was Bobby Moore, Bobby Charlton, etc.

We need people with proven track record to rescue the season and get us moving in the right direction. Now is not the time to gamble on someone's potential.
