Hi All,

Normally travel straight from Hayward Heath to the game but got some mates coming for their first taste of Amex action against Burnley.

We were planning on train into Brighton for mid-day ish for some beer and food. Any suggestions on good pubs for both? Nearer the station the better
Cheers

The Great Eastern is pretty good, bottom of Trafalgar Street, The Yeoman just up the hill in Guildford Rd/St has excellent food too. It's a pretty good area for beer and food.

Prince Albert , Trafalgar Street. Close to the trains as well.

Battle of Trafalgar all the way.

Battle of Trafalgar was really busy by 1.30pm on Saturday, so we went over the road to the Sussex Yoeman which was also good, bit more upmarket, food more expensive but a good choice, and also a selection of about 10 single malts.

BofT if not rammed, but crossing over to the Yoeman is no bad thing.

Trains get crowded from 13:40 onwards, so you might want to start a bit earlier.

We left the Yoeman at 2pm on Saturday, queued for 20mins and got on the next train at 2.25pm no worries. I wouldn't want to be joining the queue much after 2pm though if you want to make KO in good and relaxed time.

On a similar note, what is that new Molly Malones like? Always wrote it off as a shit O'Neills or similar, but has a big Dark Star selection ?

If you don't mind veggie food then The Prince George is banging. They won best food pub of the year (all pubs included, not just veggie) and have loads of guest ales that rotate on the regular.

Lewes is not bad for pubs and the train is probably easier than from Brighton.

Battle of Trafalger is great, good food + cheap. If you don't mind paying a bit more money, Yeoman has slightly better food.
