Good books that became bad films?

I enjoyed it to be honest. One or two missed opportunities but a decent yarn and superb FX.

I also enjoyed Cruises WOTW but the ending was really shit. How the hell did ALL the family survive and the house in Boston was still standing. And the appearance of the son was just a joke, he should have been toast! Ruined it for me.
