Golfing Holidays in Portugal

Thinking of getting a golfing holiday sorted for next year,never been myself,neither have any of my mates,looking for bit of a heads up for courses,hotels,villas,all inclusive deals etc,thanks for any info.

Portugal can be expensive. I can personally recommend Costa Esuri, fly to Faro and it is just over the Spanish border 45 minutes away. Ayamonte is a fab town and Spain is both cheaper and nicer than Portugal.

We have a villa on the Silver Coast in Portugal about 45mins north of Lisbon. 3 golf courses right on your doorstep.

The Royal Obidos, designed by Seve Ballesteros has recently opened and this is a 2 minute drive from the villa.

Bom Successo, 5 min drive from the villa

Praia Del Rey 10min drive from the villa.

If its the golf your going for then you cant go wrong but if its a bit of a piss up as well your better off going down to the Algarve.

The Silver Coast has some stunning scenery and Praia del Rey is right on the Atlantic coast. This is where the Portuguese national team stay when they meat up before tornaments as it is secluded so nothing is too commercialised around here.

Try Golf Escapes they are local company, the chap I dealt with was Nick Melgrew. If you go late June/ July prices for golf are better.
