Alternative dates can be suggested if you can't make that date (or Wednesdays)
Mondays are usually my ' free ' day. Fridays next. But with a couple of week's notice other days would sometimes work as well.
Out of footy season weekends are also often unscheduled for me, but of course that is when the courses are busiest.......what is the point of being retired and free if you don't use facilities when they are quieter......:giggle:

I just played in a foursomes competition with my lad. Now that is a stressful format. He is 15 years old so trying to keep him chilled out is a nightmare! It was going so well until the 16th. 7 over par after 15 in foursomes is alright but then a double and triple on 16 and 17. Ended with an 83 so decent first effort but so stressful. We got 12 shots so level nett.

A format of the game best avoided!
