Depending on how early I can get down from London I will be trying to do this as well.
The Wife and I did this yesterday thank you great idea and route map can highly recommend this walk
the section over the top of Holingbury golf course is well worth the climb as you are rewarded views across Brighton which are wonderful, the Amex coming into view is quite magical.

Great little pamphlet; worth downloading just for the read even if you don't want to do the walk. I didn't realise that the first time the club thought about leaving the Goldstone was way back in 1904! They'd only just moved in!
Interesting that on the final page Tim says the same point I alluded to in that "where would we be today if the Goldstone saga hadn't happened?" thread. It goes against the grain to 'thank' Archer for what he did, but maybe it did all happen for the best.
