The Albion Collectors' and Historians' Society has a couple of nice items for sale to commemorate the recent tenth anniversary of the last game at the Goldstone Ground.
The first is a postal "First Day Cover", a DL-sized envelope (110 x 220 mm) which has a colour "aerial" painting of the ground, a special (and genuine) first-class postage stamp with a colour image of Stuart Storer's goal, and a custom franking cancellation mark.
The envelope comes with a double-sided colour insert with a brief history of the Goldstone Ground and a couple more photos. Each card insert is numbered in a limted edition of 250.
The whole comes wrapped in a cellophane bag for protection. See the image here.
This cover is priced at £2, or £2.70 including postage and packing in a "Do not bend" card-backed envelope.
The second item is a monochrome print of Stuart Storer's goal, taken from behind the net by photographer Stewart Weir. Printed on A3 card, each print is numbered in a limited edition of 500 and is signed by Stuart Storer and Steve Gritt.
These prints previously sold for £75. The Society has just 100 for sale for only £10, plus £3 postage and packing (they will be posted by Recorded Delivery in a "Do not bend" card-backed envelope). See an image of the print here.
If you are interested then PM me for details of how to obtain them.
All profits go towards the funds of the Society, which is dedicated to promoting and preserving the history of the Albion and looking to establish a museum at the new stadium.
