Goalie jinx strikes Shaaban.

He was supposed to sign yesterday but there's still no news. I fear the worst.

"Rami Shaaban has become the latest and most bizarre victim of Brighton's goalkeeping jinx. The ex-Arsenal keeper came in to the Albion offices on Monday to sign his new contract, in front of waiting reporters and staff. He posed for the photographers with his pen over the contract, with Mark McGhee leaning over him. A front table leg then appeared to collapse and McGhee fell forwards on to Shaaban's outstretched right hand. The table then collapsed completely and both men fell to the floor, with Shaaban crying out in pain. Club physiotherapist Malcolm Stewart later confirmed that Shaaban has two broken fingers in his right hand and will be out for the rest of the season. "It's unbelievable", said Stewart."

If you'd said the accident happened after he'd signed I'd believe it. That way we could pay another crocked keeper for a few months.
