This is the easiest poll to answer correctly and I'm surprised so many have got it wrong.

Brighton 1 (Crofts 54) Watford 1 (Murray 4). Therefore NO GOAL.

There is more to a game than that.

The ball obviously crossed the line and we should have been 2-0 down. Different game then. Doesn't matter now, history is written. But it doesn't alter the fact it should have been given as a goal.

It was a goal - I had a perfect view of it right behind the lino. In fact just seconds before it happened I was talking to the lino and I had asked him what he thought the official attendance was as opposed to the actual attendance - he turned round to answer me and then................

If the line were drawn properly, it could be discussed. But it isn't.

It was a goal.

How is the line not drawn correctly? I actually erred on the side of caution to draw the red line on the white goal line rather than the adjacent grass.

If you think it is in line then your eyes are wonky. Mine are deffinitely wonky, but no worse than your line.

You are getting the cross bar confused with the goal line.

The laws of Football state that the whole of the ball must be over the whole of the line for a goal to stand. There is no moral middle ground here,no deserves to be so give then one because a goal attempt deserves it.No grey area ,only if all of that ball including the up in the air bit has cleared the last splodge of whitewash nearest the net is it a goal.
That screenshot clearly shows,at the point it was taken(for I can easily see that the foot in contact may be moving the ball forward away from the net)that the Whole of the ball IS NOT over the white line.

No goal,from the evidence presented.

Ironically, I think that is the mistake you have made.

If the picture was exactly in line, then we could tell. That picture is far less conclusive than the one showing the whole ball over the line.

It was a goal, pure and simple. It wasn't given, we got a deserved draw. Time to draw a line for me.

This picture isnt the ball at its furthest point as Greer is now in the process of clearing it. It was over the line when his foot was the other side of the ball knocking it over the line. This pictue is misleading. It was a goal

I see what you did there. Nice.

I know you're trying to shut down the discussion but if the angle was square on, the overlap of the ball and goal line would have been even more pronounced.

Also, I haven't muddled the goal line with cross bar as the starting and end points are on the lighter white line which is clearly the goal line...
