It's grim oop north
Highlight of a miserable night was hearing this old classic again coming from somewhere in the North (west corner) I think.

Must be up there as a sterling contender for our best song.

It would be great to have it being sung by the masses each game - ideally more than once as it's the one song people sing loudly and most importantly at a slow pace.

Bravo to all involved

Think they started singing it at the same time the other end of the North were singing something else.

Bravo to all involved indeed :moo:

What’s the ending now? As it got changed to F off Palace repeated 3 times and then the last line was "because we’re in Europe" followed by "we’re all going on a European tour"

I don’t think anything has moved me closer to tears at the Amex than hearing Solly March, Solly March booming in unison from 3 sides of the stadium, then seeing him run onto the pitch for the first time in 14 months.

One of those special moments in our Club history that I think I’ll remember forever.

I loved it when the whole north stand sang a really good rendition of we are Brighton super Brighton. It was a rare unified song where it appeared even the police box lot got involved in a song not of their making.

Yes there was a great, loud, rendition of Super Brighton

What does the "police box lot" mean though as it seems there's a couple of groups of vocal singers in the north but always feel like they'll join in with each others songs once it carries over to that part of the stand

I didn’t hear it 🙁 so I guess there was a different song going on as usual.
I took a moment to look around the North Stand (central, 10 rows from the back) during a song and the amount of fans stood in silence, looking at phones or chatting was a tad disheartening.

NSK….rows at the back of the NS under the police box. Pretty vocal all match usually but not necessarily with the rest of the ground. Our Pet Ecuadorian vlogger films from there

As an east stander I'm hardly in a position to comment on the north. But I do get a decent vantage point of it and in recent seasons there definitely seems to be more non-singers and early leavers.

I guess everyone's getting older and not being replaced by younger, more boisterous types.

I always remember being slightly bemused by this song as it seemed to suddenly appear out of nowhere circa 1976. Did anyone hear it earlier?

What was its background and was it unique to us? Obviously the lyrics were, but did we merely adapt the lyrics for our own use or was it a completely original Goldstone composition.

Can always hear that part of the north singing pretty much all game

Wish the club to help bring all the singers together in one area of the north (or south when away fans get moved)

We need to do this to improve the atmosphere

Yeah doubt some younger fans knew that one.
