unless I'm very much mistaken.

That's basically how I remember it, other verses were added at various times, sometimes it would go on and on

Does the Judge have a season ticket in the North stand this season ? I seem to remember he was in the East stand last season ?
I'm in the row behind him in the North and he's certainly upped the noise level since he's arrived !

The judge has a season ticket in the north , so if everyone in the north can back him up on the singing front , we could make this the loudest season for many a year ...:clap2:

Good stuff, nice and central too, hopefully we can all sing as one now rather than the two sides of the North stand singing two different songs !

This, very very much this. The guys on the right seem determined to get songs going that will just never happen (we are the north stand, north stand, north stand of the albion etc. is a good example)
I just wish they followed the left side, we'd sound pretty impressive as one, i'm sure..

Used to happen all the time in the old North. It does when there is a big enough crowd. Withdean it ain't!

That's the Crispies version that I remember from the North Stand anyway.

Maybe it originated some time earlier though as people are talking 76/77 which was before my time, and Crispies brought it back slightly differently in the late 80's and early 90s.

i rememeber this from early 80s,when i was standing on west terrace

Seem to remember back in the other glory days of the mid/late 70's in the South Stand the song would go on for ages as more and more verses would be added before ending on the one quoted within this thread. Which is the glory of the song you can just make up extra verses. The challenge will be to add verses that are relevant to the current Albion as well as keeping the more classic Muppets and Peter Ward ones in.

Wish it would be sung in the WSU. However, I think if I started it, it wouldn't take off. :(

Well that is the WSU for you m8, they seem very subdued this season, IMO The ESU are more enthusiastic and probably louder than WSU

I remember it as same but after who we are, I remember it being And where we come from plus there used to be a random And if ya can't hear us followed by We'll sing a little louder but there are so many versions and lines that it would need standardising to be able to be sung all around the stadium. I'm just below the screen in North C and tried to do the solo bit in sync with the middle of the north but different versions, lines maybe let it down
LETS ALL AGREE A STANDARD VERSION AND THEN SOLO SINGERS ALL OVER CAN DO IT IN SYNC

Didn't like it at first but once you get the jist of it its a very catchy song, much better than that shitty north stand song, the bloke who I heard starting it stands directly to the left of me, goodness me he's loud but its good to have someone else starting songs as let's be honest must of us don't have to guts

Just go for it, people will join in

For it to fit the rhythm - and so far as I recall this WAS sung in the late 70s/early 80s - it was "it must be OUR OWN Peter Ward"

Yep, definitely "OUR Peter Ward". Any more verses you can remember? There were loads.
