I'd say they were the main reasons he joined your lot. The fact it was Crystal Palace probably featured pretty low on his list of reasons.

A footballer's career is comparatively short. The truth is he opted for the best financial deal his agent could wangle. If Palace had missed out on his signature at the last moment and he went to Millwall or Charlton on higher wages would you still be saying he left Brighton for a bigger and better club ?

Really? I thought he would have moved up the A23, after all it's such a nice place. Also the club has a superb stadium and loads of fans and lots of money. So I'm suprised he's still hanging around in Brighton.
His exact words to my mate the other day were 'I wouldn't wanna live up there it's a shithole'. Maybe the chirpy deluded Palarse on this site should take that in.
