Bobby turned down Palace.

I really don't care.

Anyone who has a problem with Murray coming back needs to grow up a bit and get over themselves. He's not paid to wave flags, chant songs or get wrapped up in our rivalries, thats OUR job. He's paid to score goals. I honestly couldn't give a stuff who ANYONE has played for when they sign for us - if they do the business in the stripes then that is absolutely all I am bothered about, end of.

I'd assume anyone who still "hates" Murray will make it a point NOT to celebrate or acknowledge any of his goals this season ?

They'll certainly wade in if he looks lackadaisical, gets sent off, misses a few or doesn't wave at the end of a game.

Hopefully, you might see a more energetic Murray under CH.

He doesn't put up with players who don't put in 100% on the training ground or on the pitch. He got shot of Steve Morison and their Golden Boy Grant Holt at Norwich because they wouldn't pull their weight on the pitch and on the training ground.

Not waving to the fans well that's up to Murray himself to realise that he will get on better with the fans ''on side''

I agree. I've always proper hated him - I was possibly in the minority but I'm in the 'anyone but them' camp for all footballers. Don't think they should join rivals directly - some do have that respect but others don't. That's irrelevant anyway, I'm delighted to un-hate him and will offer my full support to anyone in the stripes. It's also really hacked off some Nigels so it's the perfect signing for me and a bit of revenge :)

I don't think it's a lack of effort, more to do with how he appears to be playing. He is not an Alex Revell and will not chase lost causes. He received massive criticism when he was playing with a hernia and couldn't track back and chase. He shouldn't even have been playing and I think a game against Leeds was when this came to a head with fans hurling abuse at him for "not trying"

If he does sign, he'll be like an extra CB when we are defending, which is pretty important at this level and given how poor we were sometimes at set pieces last season.

If Murray GETS the ball I will TURN my BACK on the pitch and NOT watch the game. I will not accept JUDAS coming back until he APOLOGISES for playing for Palace

You might miss a few goals then Ernest.............................By all means hate Palace but your club is bigger than any player in it. Players are temporary - He is not coming here to fail and he is not coming here to tickle Ernest's ears.

He is coming here to try and score goals

Lets hope the enthusiasm instilled in the others already will rub off on him then

so glen murray, sidwell, zamora last season, Bennett and crofts before that along with hammond.... we bring back more people than game of thrones!

Yet so many got their knickers in a twist at all the 'former player returning' threads last season. There's clearly a much much much higher chance of former players signing!

Rather uninspiring off-season so far.

Why ??

What was your thoughts about last year's signings before they went about their business and gathered 89 points ??

To date a Premiership striker has been signed and a very up and coming young centre half prospect. Whats not to like??

You should have told him to get out the shop and cut down on the Burgers

Bournemouth are still in the Premiership are they not BG ? - I think this thread is all about signing one of their strikers, is it not?

Has Murray signed then, I've not seen any announcement?
