And so will he be as well.
Indeed, Glenn's legs have finally gone l think, but for my money he still has a role to perform here, but in the dressing room, not out on the pitch.

Will be interesting to see what happens, if he sticks around as a leader in the dressing room or if he goes on another loan. Probably 100% up to him.
Keep him as a striking coach for the rest of the season. Would much rather we gave Zeqiri game time than Glenn if we need to try something different though, his time as a PL striker has passed IMO.
Not sure why some people think we need him back for his experience and to help the other strikers? We've already got a fit, 30 year old striker with much more top level and international experience than Glenn.
He's been cultivating his media image for a while, he should focus on that now.

LOL actually i think he did one game on his first stint with us. Cant remember the circumstances though but pretty certain he did. ANyone? Can he play in goal?

Because does Danny Welbeck really care about improving our other strikers ? Especially as he is on a one year contract and their improvement could drastically effect his game time.
Glenn on the other hand might quite like to help, he certainly has helped both Maupay and Connolly as they both have referenced it in interviews. A calming hand like Glenn might actually help Maupay through his tough patch.

People saying 'his legs have gone' - he didn't have any pace to start with!
Can you even coach strikers? I really don't believe you can. Which striker anytime ever in front of goal in the history of the world ever thought 'now what did coach tell me to do here?' It's a nonsense. Might (just about) be a place for a dead ball coach, but even that's debatable
And there, in a nutshell, is why we're all spouting off on a forum and not managing a football team. Not worth any strikers turning up for training then is it ?? Why would you be unable to coach a striker more or less than any other position ? Even without the 'striker's instinct' I guess you're planning to rely on for finishing, who helped the striker in your example understand the type of run to make to be in front of goal (in the right place, at the right time) ? Do you not think for a second Murray can give, say, Connolly some help ?
Nope, prwtty certain you're on the wrong side of the argument here. Hard enough to drill it into a striker to just occasionally consider looking up and maybe consider passing to a colleague in a better position. Hardly ever gonna happen. That's not how their brains are wired. Cue for a song here... Strikers Are Doing It For Themselves
OK, happy to bow to your obviously superior knowledge. Lots of clubs wasting silly money trying though.
Chucking good money after bad then
