It's dope.

Momma Cheries has got itself a bad rep now but is probably still a laugh.

I like La Marinade in Kemp Town but the atmosphere is weird. Then you've got Paston Place. I would say Blanch House probably has the best balance between atmosphere and quality in the town and a place called Vanilla out on Palmeira Square was a lot better than I had expected but apparently is full of Hove tossers at the weekend trying to impress their scraggy birds.

Yes, Blanch House, go there.

Byeeeeeeeeeeeee

Please be kidding! The only two people to post on a thread entitled 'Gingerman' are Dwayne & Chappers.....ironic? Maybe.

Not Luton! Thank God
It is good. You'll do well to get a table though. Lots of up market hen dos head there. They also run a gastropub, the Ginger Pig, which doesn't do reservations and is based near the King Alfreds.

He currently has 3 restaurants in Brighton ...

The Gingerman, excellent but normally booked up weeks in advance
The Gingerman At Drakes, not eaten there but assume it is more of the same I would guess it's already fully booked for this weekend
The Ginger Pig, as Hatters says it's no reservations so get there early, it is by all accounts very good. It's a 'gastro' pub so the menu is very different to the others.

Have you thought about Pinxto Peolpe? That seems to be the latest hang out for Brighton uber trendies ... i'm sure they'd all love to see your iPhone ...

Not been to either of the two Gingerman restaurants but always heard good reviews. I have been to The Ginger Pig (owned by the same group) and it is very good.

Some of the best food in Brighton can be found at the Preston Park Tavern and The Chimney House (formerly the Marquess of Exeter) near Seven Dials.

I went to Vanilla last weekend and it was OK. Been to both Gingermans a few times and they're very good but not exceptional. I went to Graze (Western Road Hove a bit along from Tesco Metro) soon after it opened and that was exceptional.

Casa Don Carlos is great, much better than La Tasca but they're not in the same league as Gingerman etc.

I went to Gingerman at Drakes for my birthday and it was very good.

Would still choose Blanch House over it, though. Their cocktails are also ace!

Ruby Tates is also excellent if you like seafood.

Went to Pinxto People a few months back and it was very good, if a little pricey, I ate in the tapas bar downstairs. Had very nice Cava Sangria!
