Amazing what a goal can do.
We were fortunate only to be playing Gillingham - his decision-making looked dodgy for long periods resulting in him being out of position and forced to recover with fouls. The luck in the first half was that we had Bennett take our free kick- they didn't.
Kuipers - 6 - Looked uncertain tonight
Hoyte - 7 - Class
McNulty - 7 - Steady
Elphick - 7 - The goal lifted him, would prefer Tunnicliffe though. Could've been booked or worse after a minute, very rash challenge.
Virgo - 7 - Wholehearted performance
Bennett - 8 - Scored and made a goal, looked a threat all night
Thornhill - 6 - Average player, lucky to be in the team
Crofts - 8 - Another great performance
Dicker - 7 - Tired towards the end
Forster - 6 - Workmanlike a threat as always
Murray - 7 - Good first half, but tired.
Subs
Dickinson - 7 - Worked hard, despite carrying a knock
Hart - 6 - Not much time, but I'm afraid I think his legs have gone
Ref - One of the best so far.

He made several critical errors and we only didnt concede thanks to sme brilliant last ditch defending with kuipers scrabling around on the ground on the other side of the goal from where the ball was, he is past it and a liability and the sooner jocko is our number one the soner we can push on

Kuipers - 6 - Great save in first half, good communication with back four, kicking better than usual but could take pressure off defense by coming to catch the ball when long brosses come in.
Hoyte - 7 - Decent, pace will always be an asset.
McNulty - 7 - Steady return, decent with the ball.
Elphick - 7 - Very lucky not to have been carded in first minute and looked unsettled in first 20 but came back strong and goal will do him wonders. Visibly lifted after.
Virgo - 7 - Did well and did not make many mistakes.
Bennett - 9 - Scored and made the first, crossed for the second, gives us an outlet, class above the other 22 on pitch.
Thornhill - 6 - Great touch on him but was largely ineffective on the left.
Crofts - 7 - Solid performance and striking up a decent partnership with Dicker. Sometimes over complicates things in middle and can loose the ball unnecessarily at times but decent player.
Dicker - 8 - Great first half, pulled the strings and can pass, really rate him.
Forster - 6 - Worked hard but struggled with knock. Amazingly good in air considering he's not the tallest.
Murray - 7 -Has an amazing ability to hang in the air! Looked like he wanted it more last night and is clearly a class performer.
Subs
Dickinson - 6 - Ungainly but does a good job, must be a bastard to mark.
Hart - 7 - Did what he needed to, gave their defense something to worry about when they were pressing us late on. Good job as sub.

at least they got a win thats a start i suppose but i hear that there is unrest in the camp and a lot of arguments between staff and players which isnt helping i think get slade out and someone in how can deal with the team professionally and get them into a winning team regularly.
