Special Skates Xmas show ?

Wembley - messing around on Ticketmaster, getting all the "sold out" messages, when suddenly two tickets came up. I thought "ideal present for the missus and her mate".

She thought - romantic evening away, not taking the friend. Kids just take the piss because I can't force one of them to go.

I think "locked in a big room with 30000 screaming homosexuals."

Could have it's plus points?

That's EXACTLY why I'm going to the Scissor Sisters.

Juliette Lewis and the Licks at Cardiff Uni.

Unlucky. Saw her as the bottom act at Hyde Park. If she wasn't Juliette Lewis, Actress, she would have been lucky to get in as a steward. Only marginally worse than Angels and Arseholes.

I think that will be a giggle.

Currently have tickets for Muse, The Magic Numbers and The Zutons.
Saw the Magic Numbers at the Dome last year? This year? Pretty good.

I'm going to see Terry Reid on Monday.

"There are three things happening in England right now. The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Terry Reid" - Aretha Franklin 1968.

I've seen her twice before. She was excellent on both occasions.

Each to their own.

Agreed. Saw her last year at a festival in Belgium. She was utter shite.

Her "stage outfit" was freaky, she was freaky, and she had the nerve to come out and sing backing on a Motorhead track, where she was spectacularly shown up as an average pub-singer by the bird from a band called Meldrum. Who would get it multiple times.

Angels and Arseholes were spectacularly poor. Introducing himself (and his ego), Tom DeLonge announced that he didn't want to be a band that you could sing along to in the car. Then whined because people wouldn't sing along to his songs! Not helped because his voice sounded like it was being strained through Tank's jockstrap, with Tank still wearing it! He drained on and on about Iraq wars, etc, and the wanted "no-one to ever die again".

Fuckwit.

Bullet for my Valentine with GNR were just a drone, I don't get this "singing" which sounds like it's an elderly cow being taken from behind by an elephant and no KY jelly. I am reliably informed that they are not normally that shite.

Yep, Portsmouth, plus three teenagers for their first 'Head experience!

New album is shit hot - got it on the MP3 straight away. Should be a blast at the Guildhall - 'Head were invented to play in smaller venues where they can render you deaf.

Support is "interesting". Clutch may not last more than three songs, Crucificed Barbara are an all-female Swedish band. Who cares whether they can play or not?!
