The place looks like an identikit UK town centre. I guess thats obvious, but you won't think you've left home.

They are very proud to be British unlike the Guardian readers on here, going up on the rock to see the apes is interesting, the tunnels are of interest as they kept the daygo's at bay.

And my accountant lives there.

At least there is a pub in Gib that proudly displays the Seagulls badge, unlike the pubs in Brighton and Hove that displays the Chelsea badge or Ars or Tott Sperm badge.

Horrible place. Like Pompey with sun. In 1950. Why would you want to go there on holiday?

Been there several times now mainly for 24/48 hr fuel stops. You'll see everything in Gib in one day. Cable cars probably won't be running and the weather can be pretty sh*t in winter. if your there for a whole week you'll be better off hiring a car and going across the border into Spain, about a 10 min drive!

If you do venture outside of Gib, be careful of La Linea. Horrible Spanish border town where you really need to keep your wits about you. Played golf down that way a few times and had plenty of nights out in Gib. Not a great deal to do there really.

There is absolutely nothing to do there whatsoever.

Probably the most exciting thing about the place is that to get into Spain you have to walk across the airport runway.
