I know how much NSC loves a good knockout competition so how do people fancy a contest to determine the finest pub in all of Brighton and Hove?

Obviously everybody's own opinions on what constitutes a good pub will vary, and I'm not going to set any specific criteria to be considered like cost, decor or location etc. I just want to know what pubs the good folk of NSC would rate among the best our city has to offer.

Get your nominations in this thread and each pub to receive at least two nominations (from different posters) will be put through to the group stage for voting to commence on who makes it into the next round.

Unless everyone is sick of these contests and doesn't want to contribute, in which case I'll shutup and go away.

The Spanish. although its technically about 5 metres out of Brighton and Hove boundary.

You have to have your minnows up against the Brazils and Spains of the Basketmakers and the Geese.
