Friends.

Its the big one, the greatest horse race of the entire year in the entire world.

The Grand National

I have been studying the form for a few months now and you want a horse that is primed especially for this race. These horses run very few times during the season if at all. These are the horses to go for. You want a horse that will start steadily towards the back and avoid all the trouble on the way. There are 2 horses that fit the bill for me.

Butler's Cabin - McCoy wants this and is the greatest jump jockey riding, if Butler's Cabin avoids the fallers and loose horses and is there are thereabouts 4 fences out, McCoy is the one to be on to drive the horse to victory.

Hedgehunter - This horse has been trained for the whole year just for Aintree. It won 3 years ago and has was placed 2 years ago and ran its heart out last year to come 7th. Hedgehunter is the clever horse. It will be towards the rear for the first circuit and will steadily pick off the horses one by one on the second circuit and should be in contention 4 out. If this horse wins you will be able to hear the cheer from Aintree at the Withdean at 4.30 pm this afternoon.

My head goes for Butler's Cabin 16/1, my heart goes for Hedgehunter 20/1.

1. Butler's Cabin 16/1
2. Hedgehunter 20/1
3. Point Barrow 25/1
4. Cloudy Lane 6/1

Get on and get on VERY LARGE, Butler's Cabin with a cover bet on Hedgehunter.

Get on Hedgehunter at 20/1 as I predict it will be 10/1 even 8/1 by the start of the race.

Hedgehunter wont win. Horses over 11st 5lbs are 0-75 since 1975 in the national and the last one to win was Red Rum which we can all agree was special.

There are worse shouts than Butlers cabin but a French bred has not won the national for 99 years and have comprised 25% of the field in the last 10 years. (over 100 have tried)

Snowy morning or Slim pickings for me.

Bet of the day (maybe year so far) Al Eile in the Aintree Hurdle

Don't take any notice of Spielburg. Get everything you own on CREOSOTE this afternoon. It's really great over fences

Tricky one, to be sure. Where WILL Butler's Cabin finish in this forty runner 4 mile 4 furlong handicap chase: eighth, fifteen or unseated rider?

Betfair account duly loaded on Butler's Cabin to be unplaced

Err.........those that either followed your advice or backed it

US writes about racing on here like London Irish used to write about football on here (and still inflicts it on some poor saps somewhere else). The opinions expressed may SOUND authorative, but on closer inspection, are completely full of shit. Fact.
