I watched this the other day on video and had forgotten how brilliant this gangster film is. Certainly one of the best and Michael Caine was at his finest with some great one-liners. It was made in 1971 - forty years ago and the moody, grim scenes around Newcastle make it a classic. Still holds its ground against more recent gangster films. Britt Ekland was stunning too, lovely tits.
