If he wants to booze himself silly - let him! He's still able to pull young fit birds despite being an old dirty drunk.

I'll swop with him!

Good on yer George, another large one?

Let him do whatever he wants, its his right to be able to drink himself silly. Just hope he dont think he can jump to the front of any other queue's for replacement organs when he f**ks up the ones he's already got. Bloody Man Utd tosser!!!!!!!

Where I agree that it's his right to kill his thicker than dense Irish twat self, his behaviour is still an affront to the family of the person who's liver he has been donated, and somewhat to anyone who might need a liver - but realise it's wankers like Best that discourage people from signing a donor card.

At least he might be a lesson to others with his profile, and the impending result of his stupidity .

Hmmm. He's forgiven a great deal 'coz he was a genius with a football. I went to a 'Sportsmans Lunch' black tie thingy recently. The speakers were him, Gordon Banks (surprisingly witty) and Bobby Charlton. Bobby Charlton was literally choked up when he was saying how fantastic it was that Best looked so fit.

He used to drink in two pubs literally yards from my office, so you could see him every lunchtime if you wanted to. Even when he was literally yellow with liver damage, he'd still be in there having a drink. Only when Alex was with him would he be on the soft stuff.

He's ill - for every Merson/Adams who've learnt to live with alcoholism, how many must there be who succumb to it? It's his destiny to drink himself to death. It's a crying shame but hardly a surprise. I completely agree with NMH, if it were a relative of mine whose liver he was abusing, I suspect I'd want it removed forcibly. But it isn't a relative of mine - Best probably quite literally can't stop himself. I pity him.

His long suffering wife has at last seen sence and finished with him. He is on a one way street to his maker now and there is noone that will stop him.

Look at it from another point of view.

You are on the waiting list for a liver transplant due to liver disease and will die without one.

A high profile celebrity who is an alcoholic and has f***ed up his liver gets a liver transplant.

He then goes out afterwards and starts boozing again.

You are still on the list

How do you feel?
