Looking at his solo material as a whole, I have to say Careless Whisper was his best pop croon. It put him up as a modern Sinatra.

Oddly, the artist 'Beck' is quite a good and soulful singer. Odd, only because he comes from a rather 'alt' angle, and might appeal to 'emo' lovers more than 'pop pickers'.

I've never understood what people like about George Michael's songs. Careless whisper and Jesus to a Child must rate as two of the most boring dirges ever. As far as I'm concerned, the only decent song he's ever recorded was "Don't let the sun go down on me" and that's because Elton John was on it!

He's GAY. You know that, right?

I hold a healthy disdain for his sexual orientation - but if I had to suddenly dislike everything that was made by gays, I wouldn't be able to listen to much music at all.

Little Richard was the original and first Rock and Roll artist imo, and he was a black gay man in make-up, in the mid-fifties USA

Comparing paedophiles with gays. TEXTBOOK.

Not this time mate - I wasn't thinking about the two types of perversions as comparable.
I'm asking if someone's sexual preferences affect whether they would buy that artist's recordings or not. I don't know if Townshend 'would' mess with kids either, but there has been smoke that suggested he might have a little voyeuristic fire burning for kiddie porn.

Dunno if it was still in his WHAM days (I think it was), but Everything She Wants is definately one of my all-time faves.

How could you settle for a boy like me
When all I could see was the end of the week
All the things we sign
And the things we buy
Ain't gonna keep us together, girl its just a matter of TIME

(before you find out I like it up the wrong-un)
