General thread of regret for those who did not see the vision and doubted what was to come.
- Poyet - So much for the glass ceiling Gus
- Potter - Bigger and better? How so? Who needs a history lesson?
- Potter's Brigade - Where are you now? Off to Nice? Once a Seagull and all that?
- Ashworth - Success on the back of tyranny, congrats and hope you sleep at night.
- Bissouma - Playing much? Wanted European Football, did you get it?
- Maupay - Bigger club?
- Cucu - Always been a Chelsea fan?
- Trossard - First Team Regular? Title winners?
Perhaps a lesson for the World Class players who we plucked from obscurity and anyone who thinks they are bigger than our club. It's a business first and foremost for players and their agents. We've gratefully accepted silly money and that has helped to further propel the engines, but some things ARE priceless. This is a club that is the envy of the footballing world. One that can go toe to toe with billion pound teams and keep the the soul of 1901. Fan owned, local players playing their part, an increasingly multinational fan following, adored by the media, pundits, a source of great unhappiness for Palarse fans. Even Simon Jordan thinks we're the team of the year. These are heady, heady days. We are big time and big time players will regret chasing the illusion of bigger and better.
