Personally I thinks it's pretty clever how the club have staggered the sale. Clearly it will be sold out by Wednesdays which leaves the club simple time to post tickets.

Yes, it's also clear that there will be some Arsenal in the home ends. But here won't be loads as the club have been responsible to only sell to those with a booking history. And anyhow, every time an away games sells out there is a thread about the practicalities of us sitting in the home ends.

It's seems the doom mongers who were predicting swathes of empty seats and instead talking about how long the tickets have taken to sell!

If we're taking this long to sell out ARSENAL AT HOME surely that will show the club category a prices are obscene for this level

If the game sells out just before the game statrts, it means that the pricing charged was the correct price to maximise revenue. Sell out too early, and it means that you could have charged more....

Given the way the tickets are being released for sale, it's unsurprising that tickets are still available and would have sold out already if all released at the same time for anyone to buy straight away.

They haven't been on general sale (with a purchase history) for very long

Try logging in before you go to home tickets. I think where you're clicking isn't actually a link to sign in but more a reminder that you have to sign in.

I doubt you've missed out, the 'sign in' thing not responding has been an issue on and off over the last few days apparently, but there should still be tickets available. Maybe try again a bit later.

Well I'm a dullard and saddo then, as I consider the Ipswich game far more important. Championship survival is massively more vital than a one-off game in the FAC.
Don't get fooled by this interest in the Arsenal fixture. If you know anything about football you should know that loads of people come out of the ' woodwork ' for these sort of games, never to be seen again until the next such fixture comes along.
To me, the Arsenal game is of no relevance, other than to raise extra revenue for the club. They will field a near full-strength side, we won't and we will get outclassed. The sooner we lose the better and then we can concentrate on Rotherham away ( also far more important )

There are 46, that is forty six league games. Forty six! On their own they are all relatively unimportant inasmuch as throughout the course of those forty six games teams will win games they perhaps should have lost, and lose ones they should have won. They will score and concede last-minute goals, they will get and be victims of dodgy decisions. Also teams will lose matches and get promoted, and win games and get relegated. In other words the single results don't matter that much as it's the overall aggregation that counts. But the Cup ... if we lose to Arsenal we'll be out, finished, no second chance, no 'next week'. So yes, as an individual fixture there is FAR more riding on it than on a single league game that will only make up one forty-sixth of our season. I really don't see how anyone can say anything else.

League games don't start to be 'important' until the last month. It's a bit like a batsman scoring a century. All the runs count the same but it's the 'important' ones in the nineties that matter more, and the single run from 99 to 100 is far more important than the one that took him from, say, 17 to 18.
