It's a little busy, but I like the arrangement of all the raindrops.

From Seasalter to Whitstable about an hour ago. I'm not the best judge of whether my new cheapo lens is flawed because of the marking inside the glass. Looks decent to me (for £200 off the normal price).

If you can't appreciably tell of any impairment, I would say it doesn't matter. As long as you are happy with its performance, that's what counts. It sounds like it had fungus, if that is now inactive and therefore dead, that's not going to cause further problems unless it gets too damp, but that goes with any lens as the darn spores are everywhere.

Seems to be a bit of remaining fungus or something on the right?

I was looking for pix of my acer and found this from 2 years ago, taken out of the bedroom window.

Popped out this evening to see the Northern Lights.

Not a speck of colour to be seen.

Heard some nice oystercatchers and owls though! And played around with light-painting, so not all wasted....

There can't be that many Vivian Maire documentaries, so therefore, the one I've seen may well be the one mentioned above. Absolutely fantastic. Amazing photos.

  • 20:00 Britain in Focus. A Photographic History (1/3). - well worth watching, and if the other two are as interesting, it will be worth watching them.
  • 21:00 Tish. A look at the work of Tish Murtha by her daughter. - if you didn't catch this, then take 90 minutes out one evening and catch it on i-player. Absolutely brilliant. Makes me realise my photo album is a bit worthless really. Very moving as well.
