Election tip:

If you like to vote for the Queen every year but find her missing from the ballot simply apply a 1st Class Stamp to the bottom of the paper and draw a cross next to it.

Works for me and her every year as she always seems to win.

It was a disaster. I've never got a satsfactory answer from any Green supporter on why recycling got worse under their rule and it was bad before that! You'd think with all of the talent available at their disposal that the Green Party would have at least put a top notch recycling policy in place.

If Greens don't want to believe you, Brighton and Hove Labour Party and their councillors have posted negatively about the actions of the Greens relentlessly. It's all still on the net.

True that Brighton and Hove's recycling date is the worst or one of the worst in the UK. Has anyone ever discovered the reason? Similar sized conurbations in the UK put us to shame. Bizarre given our reputation as a liberal, tree hugging, well educated and affluent part of the UK.

You're absolutely spot on. I've no issue with calling out any of those three on what they've said and done in the past but in fairness I think Theresa May got off very lightly with her personal abuse of Corbyn. And when someone pretended to be Seumas Milne and emailed Diane Abbott, I think that's beyond the pale too. I wish it didn't happen but I wish for a lot of things!

“With his position on Brexit, he will find himself alone and naked in the negotiating chamber of the European Union,” she said.

She added: “I know that's an image that doesn't bear thinking about but actually this is very serious.”

...

Unbelievable that she was allowed to get away with those remarks. Gutter politics. The press would have come down hard on Corbyn had he said anything close to that.

It's no different to the personal attacks she has been aiming at Corbyn weekly at PMQs. Never answers the questions, just responds with pathetic insults. Corbyn never rises to it.

I suspect it's because the bin men and women are very militant and unionised in Brighton and an overhaul of our recycling would involve lots of change. And change isn't liked. It's ridiculous that Tory councils in Horsham, Worthing and elsewhere in Sussex rank quite highly overall and as you say us tree-huggers over here on the muesli mountain get an appalling service.

Not much of choice is it? I can't recall a time with such a dearth of political talent and lack of inspirational vision in any party.

I have always voted, happily and decisively, but for the first time ever I am a total loss as to what to do.

Only 4 candidates standing in my constituency: Conservative, Labour, Lib Dem and UKIP.

Labour I discount immediately. I wouldn't be adverse to voting Labour under different circumstances, but I can't endorse Corbyn and McDonnell. Similarly, no way will I vote Lib Dem or UKIP. So that leaves the Conservatives.

Again, I wouldn't be adverse to voting Conservative - it is probably the natural home for my vote. But they have run an appalling campaign in a totally unnecessary election called purely for Mrs May's benefit and not the country's. Put simply, I don't believe they deserve my vote this time so why should I give it to them.

I can't NOT vote, so hence my being at a total loss. I still believe a 'spoilt' ballot 'is the best way I can register my complete exasperation with this whole sorry state of affairs. And for me, that is a crying shame.

Maybe I'll have a moment of clarity on my way to the polling station tomorrow morning and find myself able to make a positive choice, but time is running out...

When in doubt, it always pays to remember the basics: ABC - Anyone But Conservatives

I do genuinely believe, from what I see around me, that there is a demonisation of Tory voters from some on the left, that is just not replicated (at least not in the same volume and level of spite and disdain) in the other direction.

LoonyLeft? ChampagneSocialist?

And this is just the polite end. You need to take your blinkers off.

My point was that the "quiz" was giving accurate results and therefore didn't appear biased
Oh I see. I was responding to this post:
"Funny isn't it, when you are asked individual questions like that, that show how much you care about other people, as well as yourself, that almost invariably you don't come up with a result to vote Tory"
That's suggesting that if you care about people you don't vote Tory. I strongly disagree with that. If the quiz says not to vote Tory if you care about people, then I don't agree with the quiz.

£25 on the Conservatives to take 330-359 seats at 2/1. Decent consolation if they get less. No amount of winnings can compensate for more....

As before, I stand by my (and Buzzer's) point. Regardless, I'm not taking any notice of someone who doesn't even live in the UK.

I dug back earlier - you've worn the "champagne socialist" badge with what could easily be interpreted as pride in past years on these very pages. Seemed little point recycling them all though.

Just had a Labour activist at the door.
"How we doing?" I asked
"We know it's going to be close" said he.

I've not had this much attention at any previous election.

More spin from the crooked ladcrooks, don't believe a word of it. Christ knows how many accounts anyone that wins would need to get a grand on anything:censored:

I would genuinely rather live on a country poorer than one with this attitude.
That's fine.
A slightly nicer house etc is not worth the death of innocents.
It won't be a slightly worse house you end up with, it will be a poorer NHS, poorer education, poorer policing etc.
Still at least we'll have lots of police under the Tories to deal with all the terrorists we've armed....oh, wait..
Under Labour we'll have thousands more police, until the money runs out, and then we'll have thousands less.
