This won't come as a surprise to you if your in mainland Europe, the US, or probably even Aussie, sadly though being Brits we are left suckling at the septic teet of association football, and not much more. (well maybe Rugbo, this weekend)

But yesterday Mark Cavendish, surprised many by winning the Milan San Remo, road race. The first of cyclings spring classics. In stature a 1 day equivalent to Le Tour, and on a par with Hamilton winning a Grand Prix.

Obviously this pails when compared to beating Man Utd, but heyho!.

Anyway, there's some classy riding, by a clean and very fast cyclist, in this clip, which is well worth watching just for the commentary from the 2mins mark, it's German, and very funny. (how many times has that been said before!
